Liberation's Door by Snatam Kaur
After spending 2 years touring and writing new music, Snatam Kaur releases Liberation's Door, an album written and recorded as she experienced the magical creativity of her first pregnancy. This album builds on the fluid, soaring music that Snatam is known for, but raises it to a new level with her maternal energy unleashing a depth of emotion and richness beyond anything we've heard from Snatam before.
Snatam is joined by the musicians who tour with her, Guru Ganesha Singh and Manish Vyas on this album. Guru Ganesha Singh helped in the writing and composing process and his guitar bring incredible depth and breadth to this album. Manish's voice feels like the sweetest of instruments dancing through some of the tracks.
With cello, flute, tabla, keyboards, sarangi and Guru Ganesha's signature guitar cradling her crystalline voice, Snatam's music will carry your spirit straight to liberation's door.

The Silent Awakening by Tina Malia
On "The Silent Awakening" Tina follows in the footsteps of "Shores of Avalon,'" in a singer-songwriter mode, with multi-faceted world instrumentation and a deeper rhythmic flavor with African drums, marimbas, Indian clay drums and more. Malia's organic, peaceful messages come through loud and clear on 'Heal This Land', 'Heaven', & 'Beholden', all of which would work well as themes dedicated to world peace, conservation, etcetera.
The pristine production of each and every one of these songs is remarkable and paves the way for her material to be heard far and wide. Her cast of musicians includes some of the finest players in the fertile west coast music scene: Greg Ellis (percussionist from Vas), Robert Powell, Darol Anger, Sasha Butterfly, Lakshmi Devi, Kim Atkinson, Shimshai, Manose, and co-producer John Alevizakis.
With each listen the songs travel deeper inside your consciousness, inviting repeated play. She casts a beautiful spell with the flowing continuity from track to track.
